CPSU campaign against
the use of Forced Annual Leave

The
recent CPSU meeting about the use of forced annual for an extended
Christmas shutdown, unanimously endorsed a campaign to send a
clear message from all general staff to the Vice Chancellor and
Julia Gillard, Minister for Industrial Relations.
This
campaign requires as many staff members as possible to participate
for it to have an impact. Download

and ask other UNSW staff you work with to do the same. The success
of this campaign depends on you!

University has sent out a memorandum dated 25th August 2008 advising
of a University Shutdown, and directing the taking of annual leave
for significant parts of the shutdown period.

Launch of the Ally Program @ UNSW

September 2008
The
University of NSW today launched their Ally Program, a network
of staff who are trained to support gay, lesbian, bisexual and
transgender people.
The
CPSU have been campainging for the last 2 years to bring the Ally
Program to NSW universities and the UNSW is the 5th NSW university
to launch the program

The
next Ally Program Training for UNSW staff will be on 23rd September
2008.
Please
consider volunteering for training and helping to support GLBT
staff and students.

has demanded a meeting with UNSW HR.
